Treatment approach

Treatment that addresses the full picture.

Medication management, counseling, and skill-building work together at this practice rather than existing as separate services delivered by separate providers.

Integrated medication management

Medication prescribed
with intention, not reflex.

When medication is appropriate, Dr. Jubert prescribes it with careful attention to your preferences, your concerns about side effects, and how it will fit into your daily life. He explains why a particular medication was selected, what it is expected to do, and what to watch for in the early weeks.

Prescriptions are reviewed over time and adjusted based on your response and the progress of your treatment. If a medication does not work as expected, the first step is careful reassessment rather than simply increasing the dose.

Counseling and therapy integration

Counseling alongside
medication, not instead of it.

At Inner Banks Psychiatry, counseling is integrated into appointments when clinically appropriate. Dr. Jubert addresses both the medication plan and the therapeutic conversation in the same visit, with the same provider who understands your full history.

This does not replace specialized therapy for conditions that require it. When a patient needs dedicated psychotherapy from a licensed therapist, Dr. Jubert coordinates with that provider. The difference is that the psychiatric care itself includes a counseling component rather than being limited to medication adjustments.

Instructional meditation

A practical tool for
emotional regulation.

When appropriate, Dr. Jubert integrates instructional meditation into the treatment plan. This is not a general wellness recommendation. It is a structured clinical tool used to help patients develop greater awareness of their thoughts, emotions, and physical responses. The goal is to strengthen emotional regulation, particularly during periods of stress, anxiety, or emotional overwhelm.

Teaching adaptive coping skills

Skills that work in the hours
between appointments.

Psychiatric treatment takes place during scheduled visits, but daily life unfolds in between. Dr. Jubert places strong emphasis on practical coping strategies patients can use outside the office, when symptoms are most disruptive. These skills are individualized and designed for real situations, whether managing panic, ADHD-related impulsivity, trauma responses, or the ongoing stress of complex responsibilities.
